DESCRIPTION:Are you a current student doing an internship for course credit this fall semester? Consider applying for a stipend! \nNorthern Essex Community College is providing stipends to assist students completing a for-credit\, unpaid or underpaid internship\, or other experiential learning. This is intended to help alleviate the cost of expenses and the reduced ability to work while completing this academic experience. We have limited stipends available and anticipate a competitive application pool. Practicums and clinicals could be considered eligible for this stipend; however\, some programs have external accreditation restrictions that prohibit them from receiving payment for experiential learning hours required for licensure (e.g.\, Respiratory Care\, Sleep Technologist). \nApplications will be accepted from August 11th until September 16th at 11:59 pm. \nVisit the website below to review eligibility criteria\, guidelines\, and apply. \n Print View

DESCRIPTION:Join us for a trip to the Fitchburg Art Museum for Free First Thursday and to see the special exhibit featuring the works of NECC staff member Anne Eshbaugh!  \nRead more about the exhibit: Anne Hopkins: Gathered\, and Seaworthy Vessels \nSince we are visiting on Free First Thursday\, there is no cost to attend. In addition to Anne’s exhibit\, Free First Thursday also features salsa lessons! \nYou can join us at the museum\, or there is a van leaving the Haverhill campus at 4 pm to go to the Fitchburg Art Museum. We expect to arrive around 5 pm and will leave the museum at or before 7 pm.  \nTo accommodate those who wish to take the van we ask that you register here for a seat on the shuttle – space is limited.
