NECC Music Professor Christina Dietrich
Northern Essex Community College music students will present a spring concert that includes opera arias, Broadway hits, and instrumental works by Bach, Mozart, Schubert and others on Saturday, May 9, at 7 p.m. in the Hartleb Technology Center on the Haverhill campus, 100 Elliott St.
NECC music Professor Christina Dietrich will direct the program which is free and open to the public. Ingrid Marstaller is the assistant director.

Northern Essex offers an associate of arts degree: music option which prepares students with a foundation for success in musical performance, music education, and music computer technology. Students gain skills in music theory and ear-training, experience music from all cultures and styles, learn how to read and write music, and take part in performance workshops. In addition to classroom activities, students can perform in the NECC Music Ensembles or participate in the Choral and Music Club.
The program is suited for students who want to transfer to a four-year college or students who want to begin or continue an interest in music.
