Haverhill, MA (September 1, 2021) \u2014The Northern Essex Community College Athletic Department in conjunction with the NECC Foundation held its 4th annual golf tournament on Monday August 30th at Renaissance Golf Club. The 18-hole shotgun scramble event benefits the Athletics department and is the largest fundraiser of the year for the Knights.\u00a0 The event raised over $18,000 in support of the NECC athletic programs.<\/p>\n

“We had a great day and thanks to everyone who came out to make this our most successful tournament to date,” NECC’s Director of Athletics Dan Blair said.\u00a0 “The event is growing each year and we had tremendous turnout from alumni this year.”<\/p>\n

The rain held off and the sun shined in the afternoon for the field of 134 golfers.\u00a0 The event also featured over 40 sponsors.<\/p>\n

Top team honors after posting a score of 60 (-12) went to Ron Caswell, Jeremy Tabb, Paul Hamilton and Rob O\u2019Connell. The team of Steve Richards, Frank Ricciardi, Dan Sampson, and Joe Wilson took home second place with a score of 61 (-11).<\/p>\n
