To celebrate, we are sharing\u00a0the diverse success\u00a0stories of nursing alumni through the decades whose contributions have positively impacted the community. Enjoy!<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Janice Anderson &#8217;85<\/strong>, BA, RN, HN-BC, CCT, ACHt, RMT<\/p>\n<p><strong>Current Job Title:<\/strong> CEO, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.insideoutthermography.com\/\">InsideOut Wellness and Thermography Center, LLC<\/a>; board-certified holistic nurse and Level III certified clinical thermographer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is the most rewarding part of your career?<\/strong> \u201cBeing a catalyst for change. As a holistic RN I promote patient empowerment and self-advocacy, which helps to facilitate their \u2018health journeys.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is one thing that your patients would be surprised to know about you?<\/strong> \u201cMost of my patients do not know that this is my second profession. I have a degree in economics and was the first female that the US Treasury sent overseas to examine banking operations of US Banks with international branches.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong> How do you relieve stress after a long work day?<\/strong> \u201cAs a holistic nurse, I have many modalities in my toolkit\u2026 meditation, yoga, Reiki, deep relaxation, etc. I like to find ways to nourish my body, mind, and spirit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Since the start of your career, what changes have you observed in the field?<\/strong> \u201cSince the 1980s, nurses in general have become less hands-on and have more demands for their management skills.
