IT HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED FOR SUNDAY, OCT. 28,\u00a0 AT 6 P.M.<\/p>\n<p>The music program at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.necc.mass.edu\/\">Northern Essex Community College<\/a> will present two free piano master class workshops in the art of piano playing, led by NECC Music Professor <a href=\"https:\/\/steinwaysocietymass.org\/about-us\/\">Christina Dietrich<\/a>, on Saturday, Oct. 13 from 6 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. as a part of homecoming weekend, and on Sunday, Nov. 18 from 6 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Haverhill Campus Hartleb Building, TC103, 100 Elliott Street.<\/p>\n<p>Both master classes, which are open to pianists of all levels, are designed to provide students with a chance to perform and learn in a cooperative group setting. The sessions will explore piano performance and preparation techniques and cover a range of solo piano works as well as instrumental and vocal works with piano accompaniment.<\/p>\n<p>Professor Dietrich maintains a longstanding career as a soloist and educator and has performed on such stages as Symphony Hall, the Lincoln Center, and Jordan Hall. In addition to her faculty position at Northern Essex, she serves as piano department co-chair at Indian Hill Music, director of the Chopin Conservatory of Music on the North Shore, and as adjunct professor at Mount Wachusett Community College. Recently, she was named artistic director of the Steinway Society of Massachusetts.<\/p>\n<p>Professor Dietrich holds advanced degrees in music from the New England Conservatory of Music and Boston University.
