Trish Lyon of Methuen, a 2013 graduate of NECC’s business management program, will be a featured speaker at the August 8 Women Returning to School Information Session.<\/p><\/div>\n

Women who are thinking about enrolling in college are invited to a special Women Returning to School Information Session on Tuesday, August 8 from 5:30 to 8 pm in the Hartleb Technology Center on Northern Essex Community College\u2019s Haverhill Campus, 100 Elliott St.<\/p>\n

This free event will feature presentations by four local women who enrolled in college while balancing work and\/or family responsibilities, an admissions and financial aid overview, and a review of programs offered at the college.\u00a0 At this event, you can fill out an application and learn what you need to do to start at Northern Essex in the fall.<\/p>\n

The 45-minute program will begin at 6 pm.\u00a0 Staff will be available to answer questions and accept applications any time from 5:30 to 8.<\/p>\n

\u201cMaybe you started college but didn\u2019t finish, are looking for a career change, or never had the opportunity to attend college, and now\u2019s your time,\u201d said Danny Richer, NECC\u2019s director of recruitment and admissions.\u00a0 \u201cThis will be a friendly, comfortable opportunity to get your questions answered and, if you\u2019d like to, enroll for the fall.\u201d<\/p>\n

Panelists will include: Allison Belisle of Haverhill, 2017 Nursing<\/a> graduate; Daniela Chavez-Hernandez<\/a> of Dracut, 2017 Early Childhood Education<\/a> graduate, Patricia Lyons<\/a> of Methuen, 2013 Business Management<\/a> graduate, and Charlene Woodard of Haverhill, 2009 Business Management graduate.<\/p>\n

They will be discussing topics such as time management, how they selected their major, their job searches, and more.<\/p>\n
