This is a\u00a0noncredit,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.necc.mass.edu\/blog\/2016\/03\/01\/person-care-attendant-info-session\/\">PCA Fundamentals Program<\/a>\u00a0offered at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.necc.mass.edu\/\">Northern Essex Community College.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The 28-hour, eight-day PCA program will be offered\u00a0September 26\u00a0through October 14, (no class October 10) Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. This program trains individuals in direct care skills used to help the elderly and disabled populations live independently.<\/p>\n<p>It is strongly recommended that individuals who are interested in attending the program attend this information session.\u00a0 Preregistration for this information session is not required.<\/p>\n<p>This program is ideal for those interested in learning the basic skills and knowledge to enter this in-demand, fast growing field which also serves as a gateway to other health care professions.
