A new, noncredit supply chain management certificate program is offered through NECC’s Center for Corporate & Community Education.<\/p><\/div>\n

A supply chain management noncredit certificate program that is both an introduction and refresher of the fundamentals of the concept of supply chain in business will be offered this fall, beginning September 23, at Northern Essex Community College through its Center for Corporate & Community Education at NECC Riverwalk at 360 Merrimack St., Lawrence.<\/p>\n

Participants can enroll in any or all of the seven modules offered independent of each other or collectively to earn the certificate. This intensive boot camp provides an overview of the fundamentals of the supply chain concept.<\/p>\n

The courses are taught by two instructors Paul Moriarty and R. Bruce Murphy who have extensive experience in operations, purchasing, inventory\/materials management and supply chain management.<\/p>\n

The modules offered include \u201cIntroduction to Supply Chain Management\u201d
offered 6 to 9 p.m. September 23; \u201cOperations\u201d, offered 6 to 9 p.m. September
30 and October 7; \u201cPurchasing\/Materials Management\u201d 6 to 9 p.m., October 14 and
21; \u201cInventory\/Warehousing\u201d 6 to 9 p.m. October 28 and November 4; \u201cTransportation Logistics, 6 to 9 p.m.,
November 18 and 25; \u201cInternational Trade\u201d 6 to 9 p.m. December 2 and 9; and
\u201cSupply Chain Management: Tying It All Together,\u201d 6 to 9 p.m. December 16.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
