Incorporated in 1972, the Foundation assists the college by making connections with the business community, foundations, and other potential revenue sources and by hosting a variety of fundraising special events. Funds raised are used for: student scholarships; equipment purchases; program revitalization; faculty and staff development and other needs as they arise and are approved by the Foundation Board of Directors.<\/p>\n<p>Werner, a resident of Woburn, holds a bachelor\u2019s degree in business administration from UMass Amherst. She is currently a corporator at both Lowell General Hospital and the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Lowell.
