Amy McCoy<\/p><\/div>\n

Amy McCoy, freelancer turned food blogger turned author of the \u201cPoor Girl Gourmet\u201d cookbook, will discuss her philosophy of food during a White Fund presentation, \u201cEating in Style on a Bare-bones Budget: the Story Behind, and Philosophy of, the \u2018Poor Girl Gourmet\u2019 cookbook\u201d, in partnership with Northern Essex Community College on Sunday, January 30, at 2 p.m. in the White Fund Room in the Louise Haffner Fournier Education Center in Lawrence at 78-82 Amesbury St.<\/p>\n

The Rehoboth resident will also discuss tactics and tips for saving money at the grocery store that everyone from the novice to the seasoned home cook can use. Her cookbook features meals for $15 or less for four people.<\/p>\n

A freelance broadcast producer of graphic packages and promos for clients such as A&E, History Channel, and the Discovery Channel for more than 13 years, McCoy is an avid home cook with a passion for food, writing, and photography.
\nThe views expressed in the White Fund Enlightenment Series Presentations are the views of the speaker and do not necessarily reflect the views or policies of Northern Essex Community College.<\/p>\n

The White Fund\u2019s purpose is to have a free series of interactive presentations for Lawrence area adults, youth, and children. The audience is encouraged to seek wisdom, cultural enrichment, and intellectual enhancement by attending and participating.<\/p>\n

Funded by a generous financial gift from the Honorable Daniel Appleton White, the White Fund Lecture Series has provided cultural conversation featuring well-known lecturers in fields such as history, literature, travel, the arts, and politics. The White Fund is collaborating with Northern Essex on this series.<\/p>\n
