{"id":30912,"date":"2011-05-12T15:16:06","date_gmt":"2011-05-12T19:16:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/necc.edu\/newsroom2\/2011\/05\/12\/new-vp-of-finance-joins-neccs-leadership-team\/"},"modified":"2026-05-18T22:30:56","modified_gmt":"2026-05-19T02:30:56","slug":"new-vp-of-finance-joins-neccs-leadership-team","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/necc.edu\/newsroom\/2011\/05\/12\/new-vp-of-finance-joins-neccs-leadership-team\/","title":{"rendered":"New VP of Finance Joins NECC\u2019s Leadership Team"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"attachment_335\" style=\"width: 160px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-335\" class=\"size-full wp-image-335\" src=\"https:\/\/departments.necc.mass.edu\/newsroom\/files\/2011\/05\/David-Gingerella.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"100\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-335\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">David Gingerella<\/p><\/div>\n<p>After a nationwide search, Northern Essex Community College has hired a new vice president of finance, the chief financial officer of the college.<\/p>\n<p>David Gingerella of Westerly, RI, who has 19 years of experience in higher education, most recently as senior director of business operations at Yale University, will relocate to the area and begin at the college on May 18.<\/p>\n<p>A member of the president\u2019s cabinet, the vice president of finance is responsible for providing leadership and collaborative service in finance, budgeting, purchasing, accounting and report systems, and other areas.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to spending eight years at Yale,  Gingerella worked for close to a decade at Roger Williams University in Bristol, RI, serving in a variety of roles including university bursar, director of student services, university registrar, dean of student finance and records, and dean of continuing education.  He also taught at Roger Williams\u2019 Gabelli School of Business.<\/p>\n<p>In announcing Gingerella\u2019s selection, Lane Glenn, Northern Essex\u2019s vice president of academic affairs, said \u201cDavid has strong financial credentials and a wide background in higher education.
