The Northern Essex Community College Top Notch Players will present Stephen Sondheim’s musical \u201cA Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum,\u201d Friday, Nov. 4 and Saturday, Nov. 5 at 7:30 p.m. and Thursday, Nov. 3 at 4 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 6 at 3 p.m.in the Chester W. Hawrylciw Theater on the third floor of the Spurk building on the Haverhill campus, 100 Elliott St.<\/p>\n

Tickets are $10 General Admission and $8 for students and seniors. They are available at the door (arrive early in case of a sell out) or purchase tickets through MVARTS<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“Forum’ has been called “Broadway’s greatest farce.” Hero has fallen for the lovely courtesan next door, but she has been promised to another. If Hero’s slave Pseudolus can find a way to bring the two young lovers together, he will be set free. Lots of complications ensue.<\/p>\n

The play is directed by NECC theater professor Jim Murphy. Musical direction is provided by John Berst.<\/p>\n
