As the Director of Student Recruitment at Northern Essex Community College (NECC), I feel at home helping prospective students and their families discover the Knight experience and realize that their academic, career, and personal success can start here. Over the past ten years in higher education, I have primarily worked with non-traditional students and adult degree completers. I am a strong advocate for the Commonwealth’s community colleges and their mission to provide accessible educational opportunities, workforce development, and career exploration for all learners. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, Media, and Cultural Studies from Emmanuel College and a Master of Education from Salem State University. My passion for higher education extends beyond my role at NECC. I serve as an adjunct professor at Endicott College, held volunteer positions with NASPA, and am honored to serve as Director-at-Large for Emmanuel College’s Alumni Association.

Book a Virtual AppointmentI have spent my career working across the educational continuum—starting with K-5 classrooms as a Teach For America corps member, moving to high schools as a college and career coach, and now in higher education in recruitment and admissions. These experiences have shaped my love for education and commitment to expanding access in higher education. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and am currently obtaining a master’s in Leading Educational Innovation and Transformation. I enjoy working at NECC because I get to support students as they build their futures.

Book A Virtual AppointmentI am a recent graduate of the University of Connecticut where I earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychological Sciences and a minor in Human Development and Family Sciences. I have customer service experience through waitressing, as well as my work in Academic Advising at the peer level at UConn. These learning opportunities combined with my interest in pursuing a people-facing role drove me toward the Recruitment side of higher education. I have a passion for working with students and NECC is a great place for me to serve as a resource and friendly face for students as they navigate the next steps in their academic career.
