Honor the Ideal of Peace
Join Northern Essex Community College for a powerful celebration of creativity, reflection, and community at the annual Peace Poetry Contest. Developed through Service Learning by NECC faculty, staff, and students, this initiative invites K–12 students and community members to explore the meaning of peace through original poetry.
This year, an inspiring 700 poems were submitted, highlighting the importance of giving young voices a space to imagine possibility, reject violence and bullying, and express their visions of a more peaceful world.
Selected student authors will read their award-winning poems aloud, and attendees will receive a commemorative chapbook.
All are welcome to attend this meaningful evening of poetry and connection.
