What is Giving Day?

NECC’s Giving Day is a 24-hour fundraising effort that aims to unite alumni, friends, staff, faculty, and students toward a common goal: supporting the college and its students. In addition to encouraging support for the college’s annual fund (the NECC Fund), Giving Day celebrates healthy camaraderie and competition through a variety of themed challenges, prizes, and more. The funds raised have an incredible impact on the programs and services that are in greatest need of funding.

What is the NECC Fund?

The NECC Fund is NECC’s annual fund, which provides support for the college’s greatest areas of need. Gifts to the NECC Fund are unrestricted, which means they can be spent immediately and can benefit a range of resources and programs that are critical to student success. Historically, the NECC Fund has supported student scholarships, innovative career programming, lectures, and integral classroom resources.

A Look Back

NECC held its inaugural Giving Day in April of 2022 and, in just under 24 hours, collectively raised over $34,000 from 200+ donors. These totals made our inaugural Giving Day the largest single-day fundraising effort in our annual giving history!

This milestone is an incredible testament to the work that can happen when our community rallies around a common cause.
