NECC Library: Black History Month Read/Watch/Listen
February 25 @ 9:30 am - 10:30 pm
Event Navigation
The 2026 national theme is “A Century of Black History Commemorations.” Marking the 100th anniversary of national Black History Month observances, this year invites reflection on the history, meaning, and lasting impact of these celebrations and Black life in America.
Join the NECC Librarians at the Haverhill Commons as we showcase selected readings from banned and challenged books, compelling audiobook excerpts, and engaging video content. We highlight Black brilliance across generations—from nation-builders and cultural leaders to artists, thinkers, and future visionaries. Our curated READ, WATCH, LISTEN collection explores the deep roots of Black communities and their enduring contributions, celebrating stories that challenge, inspire, and encourage deeper understanding.
