Police Academy
The MPTC-NECC Police Academy is a full-service academy located on our Haverhill campus offering Basic Recruit, Veteran Officer In-Service, and Specialized training programs. Dedicated to advancing excellence and professionalism in law enforcement, the academy, operated by the Massachusetts Municipal Police Training Committee (MPTC) supports police departments across the Commonwealth through high-quality, standardized training and education.

In 2021, the NECC Police Academy became the first municipal police academy – and the first community college – in Massachusetts to be accepted into the Georgetown University Law Center Active Bystandership for Law Enforcement (ABLE) Project. Created in 2020, the ABLE Project is a national training and support initiative committed to building a culture of peer intervention that prevents harm.
