Important Election Dates and Deadlines
Voter Registration Deadlines
The deadline to register to vote, update your voter registration, or change your political party affiliation is 10 days before any election or town meeting.
Students are encouraged to verify their voter registration information well in advance of Election Day.
Important Vote-by-Mail Information
Any mail-in ballot must be requested in writing by 5:00 p.m. on the fifth business day before the election. Applications can only be accepted if they are received by your local election office before the deadline.
Apply as early as possible, especially if your ballot will need to be mailed out of town. The U.S. Postal Service recommends allowing up to seven days for mail delivery.
To ensure you receive your ballot with enough time to mail it back, voters should consider applying two to three weeks before Election Day.
