Refund Policy & Dates for Credit Courses

NECC allows a 100% refund of tuition and fees for a specific range of dates which is governed by the start date of each session. Students must officially drop their classes with Enrollment Services either in person or by calling 978-556-3700 during office hours within the stated refund period.

  • Lack of attendance or course abandonment does not constitute a drop or withdrawal.
  • Failure to officially drop or withdraw results in final grades and no refunds will be issued.
  • Refunds are only issued to students who drop courses by the posted schedule adjustment deadlines

Refunds will not be granted after the end of each 100% refund period

Spring 2026 (January 21 - May 12)

Full Semester Courses: January 21 – May 12

You must drop on or before Wednesday, January 28, 2026

Winter Intercession: January 5 – January 30

You must drop on or before Tuesday, January 6, 2026

Session II: March 23 – May 12

You must drop on or before Thursday, March 26, 2026

NO REFUNDS THEREAFTER

Fall 2025 (September 3 – December 16)

Fall 2025 (September 3 – December 16)

Full Semester Courses 9/3/25 – 12/16/25

You must drop on or before Monday, September 8, 2025

Session II: 10/29/25 – 12/16/25
You must drop on or before November 3, 2025
