Use Excess Financial Aid to Purchase Textbooks and Supplies at the NECC Bookstore
NECC allows students to use leftover financial aid, after tuition and fees are paid, to purchase their textbooks and supplies at the NECC Bookstore with proper authorization*.  If the student’s financial aid, after subtracting the costs of tuition and fees, creates a credit on the student’s account, the student may use that credit of funds to charge the purchase of textbooks and other educational supplies.
A standard amount of $175 per enrolled course is allowed. If a student confirms that books for their course cost more than the standard amount allowed, and if the student has a large enough financial aid credit, the amount of the book voucher can be increased by the financial aid office. Any textbooks and other educational supplies purchased by the student will be charged to their student account and be paid once financial aid is applied to their student account for the semester.
Students eligible for the book voucher will receive an email 10 days before the start of their classes via their NECC email account instructing them when the book voucher period is active and how to use their book voucher. Book voucher periods may vary from student to student depending on their schedule of classes for the semester.
