Steel Magnolias is a comedy-drama about a close-knit group of Southern women in Louisiana who gather at a local beauty salon to share gossip, laughter, and support through life’s major milestones and tragedies. The title symbolizes the characters: delicate like magnolias yet tough as steel. This play is a heartfelt celebration of the bonds between women, reminding audiences of the power of community and emotional support.
Directed by: National Award-Winning Director and NECC Theater Professor, Brianne Beatrice
Assistant Director: Jay Ouellette
Starring: National Award-winning actor Naima Eve as Truvy, alongside Katherine Caulfield, Rachael Knipe, Tawny Marshall, Gianna Proia, and Laurille Wirling, an Excellence in Performance nominee for her portrayal of Harper in Angels in America.
