At NECC you’re sure to find people who share your passion and student groups that fill your life with purpose. From organizations (SGA, NSLS, and Alpha Beta Gamma), to clubs (Art Club, Gender Sexuality Alliance, and Environmental Club), to interest groups (ELL, or Hispanic Student Interest Group), come explore the many ways you can add value to your life and our NECC community.
There are many ways for students to make their time at NECC really count. Getting involved in a student organization, interest group, or club is the best way to explore new ideas and experiences, as well to make new friends.

Social Circles
Gather around what you love. Build your community on campus.
College is better when you’re doing what you love with people who get it! Social Circles are student-led, staff-supported interest groups designed to make connecting with fellow students natural, warm, and easy.
Whether you’re looking to start a weekly morning walking group, chat about your favorite sci-fi books, or create a cozy meetup for commuter students, Social Circles are all about bringing people together over shared passions.
What Makes Social Circles Special?
- Come As You Are: Gatherings are informal and flexible! Meet up in a campus lounge, on the lawn, or in a study room whenever it works for your group.
- Always Welcoming: Every circle is open to all students, making it a wonderful space to meet new friends, broaden your circle, and feel at home on campus.
- We’re Here to Support You: Need pre-packaged snacks, craft supplies, or activity gear for your gathering? Student Life purchases approved items directly so you can focus on having fun and building community.
Ready to Start One? It’s Super Easy!
- Share Your Idea: Submit a brief interest form with your group’s theme and name a student Point Person to help keep everyone connected.
- Quick Staff Review: Student Life checks in to make sure your idea fits campus safety guidelines.
