Resources for Accessing Brightspace

Brightspace is a learning management system (LMS) designed to support online, hybrid, and on campus courses. With Brightspace, students can access course materials, submit assignments, participate in discussions, take quizzes, and connect with instructors and classmates. 

The way Brightspace is used will vary by course. Some instructors may simply upload a syllabus and resources, while others may conduct their entire course. Be sure to check with your instructor about how Brightspace will be used in your class.

Access Brightspace on Your Mobile Device

You can access Brightspace from any mobile device. The Brightspace Pulse app helps you stay connected and organized with your courses. With the app, you can view course updates, upcoming assignments, grades, and announcements in one place.

To get the app:

  1. Go to your device’s app store and search for Brightspace Pulse.
  2. Download and install the app.
  3. Open the app and search for NECC or Northern Essex Community College. 
  4. Log in with your NECC username and password.
  5. Allow notifications in your device(s) to receive timely updates on course announcements, upcoming due dates, and grades. You must go Brightspace to select which notifications you want to receive and the frequency.
