Join us for Fascinating Exhibits, Artist Talks, and Receptions

The Linda Hummel-Shea ArtSpace Gallery is located in the Bentley Library on our Haverhill Campus, 100 Elliott Street, 01830. The gallery is an educational space for the NECC community that displays local, national & international artists. In 2015, the ArtSpace gallery was named after Linda Hummel-Shea, in honor of her commitment to creating the space and her 35 years of service as an NECC librarian. Programming and exhibits in the ArtSpace Gallery are managed and curated by faculty in the Art & Design Department in the Liberal Arts Division.

Opened in 2009, NECC’s ArtSpace Gallery has featured an impressive collection of artists over the years, from sculpted carousel animals by Jeffrey Briggs of Newburyport to the graffiti-inspired photo realist art of Jeff Henriquez of Brooklyn, NY. Pictured above is Florida-based installation artist Sam Modder giving a gallery talk during her solo exhibition in 2023..
