NECC’s Public Health Associate Degree will prepare you for a variety of entry-level public health positions in the community. You will also be able to transfer credits toward a bachelor’s degree in health education, health administration, environmental health, or a related field. With this program you will:
- Learn about healthy lifestyles, population perspectives, public health issues, systems, programs, outreach, and education
- Benefit from real-world experience by participating in a practicum (internship)
- Improve your career options by earning a degree in Public Health

With NECC’s Credit for Prior Learning, you can move through the program at a faster pace and graduate sooner! These credits are covered free-of-charge for eligible Massachusetts learners.

Rosanna Lara
Rosanna Lara of Lawrence was laid-off when her company moved to the West Coast, a prospect she admits was scary at first. Two months later, she was happily enrolled in Northern Essex’s Public Health Program. After earning her associates degree, she plans to transfer her credits to a bachelor’s degree in public health at Regis College offered on Northern Essex’s Lawrence Campus. Read Rosanna’s story.
